Man rapes 2 year old, gets life in prison.

Jason B. Knapp 34, convicted of raping a two year old girl. Knapp was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole. The young girl then needed 2 hours of reconstructive surgery. The jury was not only told the story but shown graphic evidence of the rape. There was one witness that put Knapp in the same vicinity of the girl. But while in prison Knapp had a phone call to his mother where he admitted to raping the girl. The conversation was taped and put in evidence. It is said that Knapp was given life with no chance of parole not only because of the age of the girl, but when given his mental evaluation the doctor says that there is no chance of rehabilitation for this man.

Obama Signs $7.5 Billion Aid Bill for Pakistan

President Obama on Thursday signed into law a $7.5 billion aid package for Pakistan that the U.S.-ally’s military criticized as American meddling in its internal affairs.

The measure provides $1.5 billion annually over five years for economic and social programs and comes as Pakistan faces a string of violent militant attacks and bombings as its military orchestrates an offensive into the Taliban heartland.

The law is the Obama administration’s attempt to strengthen the weak civilian government in Islamabad and encourage its fight against Taliban and al-Qaida militants operating along the border with Afghanistan, where the United States is fighting an eight-year war.

Boy in Florida Set on Fire

Called one of the most heinous crimes he has ever seen, by Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti. Michael Brewer from Deerfeild Beach Florida was set on fire by 5 boys. Jeremy, and Denver Jarvis, Matthew Bent, Jesus Mendez, and Steven Shelton. They are being charged with aggravated battery, while Jesus Mendez is also being charged with attempted second degree murder since he lit the lighter.

Michael supposedly borrowed 40 dollars from Matthew Bent and had not repaid him yet. Sunday Bent attempted to steal Brewers’ Dads bike, but Brewer called the police. Afraid to go to school on Monday Brewer decided to go to a friends.

While he was sitting by the pool he was doused with rubbing alcohol and set on fire. A neighbor heard the screams and put the boy out with a fire extinguisher.

Brewer was burned over 75% of his body and is in critical condition, it is expected he will be in the hospital for 5 months.

All of the boys involved are 15 years old, except for Jeremy Jarvis who is 13. None of the boys will be charged as adults.

Zachary Christie’s Suspension Lifted

The first grade student Zachary Christie who brought his three-in-one camping utensil to school and was suspended is now able to go back to school. The school board met and decided to give him a reprive. Now the school board is going back over the zero-tolerance policy that has been in place. The school board members voted and now the rule will be if you are a first grader or in kindergarten and you bring in a weapon you will only get a 3-5 day suspension. One school board member says that the people enforcing the rules are not using common sense when it comes to these children.

Zachary Christie, six years old, first grade student, and very excited about joining Cub Scouts. Zachary was very enthusiastic about his camping utensil that functioned as a fork, spoon, and a knife! Well who wouldn’t be? Everyone loves versatility. As any young boy does with his new fancy toys, Zachary decided to take it to school, and use it at lunch. Unfortunatly the school didn’t see it this way. Having a zero tolerance policy they suspended Zachary and are now saying he may have to go to a reform school for 45 days.

Do you think this punishment is justified for a 6 year old? Or do you think they should have done more?

Sex Offender Wants to Go to Church, a Church that is a Day Care.

James Nichols was convicted of second degree rape of a sixteen year old girl. He now decided he wanted to better himself, by going to a church to pray and attend ceremonies. Some of his chosen times to go is when the church runs a child day care. Now is challenging the state of North Carolina says he should be allowed to go and better himself… (1)

Dinosaur Foot Print Found in Paris

Palentologist in eastern France found some of the largest dinosaur footprints ever documented, measuring about 1.4 meters to 1.5 meters (4.6 feet to 4.9 feet) in diameter. Palentologist say the footprints have preserved well and they will be able to understand these creatures more, how they traveled, their size, and behavior.

Dr. C. Owen Lovejoy, a professor at Kent State studies the remains of Ardi. This Professor of Anthropology has also reconstructed the skeletal remains of Lucy, another female. Lucy lived about 3.4 million years ago whereas Ardi lived 4.4 million. The skeletal remains are proving that humans did not in fact evolve from apes. But the other way around. Some species of Hominids from 3-4 million years ago evolved into apes.

Paul Lyle in jail for embezzling an estimated 88,000 dollars from the radio station he worked at. The man had an addiction to scratch off tickets. Well interestingly enough Paul Lyle, while in prison, finds out he has won the lottery. What did he win? A boat, some tickets to NASCAR and guess what else? 96,000 dollars. So he is using the money he won to pay the companies restitution in the case. He will be sentenced Nov. 30th.

As More People Are Losing Their Jobs, Jobs Are Begging For People

Unemployment is almost at 10 percent! Yet, there are high paying jobs available. The problem is the companies aren’t finding the people with the right qualifications. One man said he was reviewing resumes and one man had put his skills from his last job was making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning rooms. Another resume said signing up new gym members.

These jobs are in accounting, nursing, physical therapy, health care workers, software sales representatives, data analysis, and many more.
